In Saturday's non-league game, the host Dutchtown Griffins baseball team scored a close 8-2 win over the Destrehan Wildcats.
The Griffins (9-5) will now prepare for their game against Sulphur (Sulphur, LA). The Golden Tors go into the non-league game with a 5-6 record. In their last game, Sulphur was overwhelmed by Walker (Walker, LA), 6-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Wildcats face the Brother Martin Crusaders (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 6. Destrehan will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Crusaders enter the battle with a 8-5 record after their 17-7 non-league loss to Zachary (Zachary, LA).
