The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX) and the host Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX), saw Wylie's baseball team gain a win over Lone Star by a tally of 7-1.

The Pirates (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against North Garland (Garland, TX). The Raiders enter the 6A Region II District 9 battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, North Garland was overwhelmed by Denison (Denison, TX), 10-7, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Rangers face the College Park Cavaliers (The Woodlands, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 6. Lone Star will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 2-1 league loss to Conroe (Conroe, TX).
