Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) and the host Palo Alto Vikings (Palo Alto, CA), observed Monta Vista's volleyball team top Palo Alto by a count of 2-0.

The Matadors (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Monarchs enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Archbishop Mitty was knocked off by Homestead (Cupertino, CA), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Vikings battle the Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 4. Palo Alto will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Scots enter the contest with a 4-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA).
