The Sunrise Mountain Miners edged the host Cheyenne Desert Shields volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next up, the Miners confront the Bonanza Bengals (Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 1. Sunrise Mountain will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Bengals go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV).
The Desert Shields (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Bonanza (Las Vegas, NV). The Bengals go into the non-league game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Bonanza was edged by Green Valley (Henderson, NV), 2-0, in a non-league game.
