The Dighton Hornets basketball squad (Dighton, KS), was nudged 48-44 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Hodgeman County Longhorns (Jetmore, KS)

With the victory, Hodgeman County advances its record to 16-5 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Cheylin (Bird City, KS) to meet the Cougars in a non-league battle on Friday, March 7. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 15-5. Cheylin won 75-19 in their recent non-league battle against Pawnee Heights (Rozel, KS)
