The Union Pines Vikings held off the visiting Hunt Warriors soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A game, on Tuesday, March 4. Union Pines will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the game with a 2-0 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC).

The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record.
