The Liberty Lions baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting California Grizzlies to 0 in the Lions non-league win on Saturday.

The Lions now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host East Union for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. Liberty will play a Lancers team coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Downey (Modesto, CA). The Lancers record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, California drops to 1-1 on the year. The Grizzlies travel to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 5.
