The Taft Toreadors baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Chavez Eagles to 1 in the Toreadors non-league win on Saturday.

The Toreadors now hold a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Castaic for a non-league test on Monday, March 3. Taft will play a Coyotes team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Thousand Oaks (Thousand Oaks, CA). The Coyotes record now stands at 3-2.

With the defeat, Chavez drops to 0-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Franklin (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Monday, March 3. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 0-1. Franklin lost 8-4 in their recent non-league test against Marquez (Huntington Park, CA)
