The West Ashley Wildcats baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Goose Creek Gators to 2 in the Wildcats non-league win on Saturday.
The Wildcats now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lucy Beckham for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 5. West Ashley will play a Bengals team coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Ashley Ridge (Summerville, SC). The Bengals record now stands at 0-2.
With the defeat, Goose Creek drops to 0-2 on the year. The Gators travel to Beaufort (Beaufort, SC) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 0-0.
