The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) and the host Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX), observed Aledo's softball team prevail over Permian by a tally of 9-0.

The Bearcats (11-2) will now prepare for their bout against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Bears go into the 5A Region I District 5 bout with a 8-8 record. In their last bout, Brewer knocked off Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX), 11-5, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Monahans Loboes (Monahans, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 4. Permian will attempt to advance on its 14-5 season record. The Loboes go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 13-2 non-league win over Forsan (Forsan, TX).
