Next, the Commodores meet the Southaven Chargers (Southaven, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 4. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 14-3 non-league loss to Lafayette (Oxford, MS).

The Mustangs (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS). The Tigers enter the 6A Region 1 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Saltillo overcame Ripley (Ripley, MS), 6-3, in a non-league challenge.
