In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Waskom Wildcats softball team scored a nice 10-1 win over the Colmesneil Bulldogs.

The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their match against Union Grove (Gladewater, TX). The Lions come into the 1A Region III District 19 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Union Grove was routed by LaPoynor (LaRue, TX), 4-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Chester Yellowjackets (Chester, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 match, on Monday, March 3. Colmesneil will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the match with a 3-4 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Cayuga (Cayuga, TX).
