The Doyle Tigers overwhelmed the visiting Denham Springs Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 14-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers meet the Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 7. Doyle will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record.
The Yellowjackets (2-8) will now prepare for their challenge against East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Spartans go into the 5A District 5 challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, East Ascension toppled Assumption (Napoleonville, LA), 10-9, in a non-league challenge.
