The Red Oak Hawks (Red Oak, TX) softball nipped the visiting Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX), 9-8 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Hawks now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Terrell for a 5A Region II District 14 outing on Tuesday, March 4. Red Oak will encounter a Tigers team coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.
