Next, the Whirlwinds meet the Liberty Patriots (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 4. Floydada will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Seminole (Seminole, TX).

The Tornadoes (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Crane (Crane, TX). The Cranes enter the 3A Region I District 3 challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Crane was routed by Ozona (Ozona, TX), 15-5, in a non-league challenge.
