The Lake Hornets softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Forest Bearcats to 0 in the Hornets non-league win on Saturday.

The Hornets now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morton for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 1. Lake will confront a Panthers team coming off a 18-2 non-league loss to Lake (Lake, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Forest moves to 3-2 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Scott Central (Forest, MS) to confront the Rebels in a non-league battle on Saturday, March 1. The Rebels come into the battle with a record of 1-2. Scott Central won 17-2 in their recent non-league battle against Ridgeland (Ridgeland, MS)
