North Carolina High School Softball - Franklin sneaks past McDowell

In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Franklin Panthers softball team scored a tight 10-9 win over the McDowell Titans.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Crest (Shelby, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Crest was nipped by East Rutherford (Forest City, NC), 10-4, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Titans battle the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 3. McDowell will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 10-5 non-league win over Enka (Enka, NC).
