Next, the Panthers meet the Cross Roads Bobcats (Malakoff, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 1. Midlothian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Ennis (Ennis, TX).

The Pirates (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region I District 5 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Fossil Ridge overcame Levelland (Levelland, TX), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.
