The Newton Eagles softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Hull-Daisetta Bobcats to 3 in the Eagles non-league win on Saturday.

The Eagles now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corrigan-Camden for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. Newton will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Douglass (Douglass, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Hull-Daisetta moves to 1-6 on the season. The Bobcats host Bob Hope (Port Arthur, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4.
