Next, the Chargers play the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, March 1. Veterans Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Warriors & Cherokees enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 9-5 non-league win over Harlingen (Harlingen, TX).

The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 13-1 record. In their last challenge, Carroll edged Raymondville (Raymondville, TX), 13-0, in a non-league challenge.
