In Saturday's non-league match, the host Van Alstyne Panthers softball team scored a nice 14-3 win over the Princeton Panthers.
The Panthers (9-2) will now prepare for their match against Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX). The Foxes come into the non-league match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Caddo Mills notched a victory over Nimitz (Irving, TX), 8-7, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Panthers confront the McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) in a 6A Region I District 6 match, on Wednesday, March 5. Princeton will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 1-14 record after their 13-7 non-league loss to Celina (Celina, TX).
