Texas High School Softball - Schulenburg knocked off by Somerville

In Saturday's non-league test, the Somerville Yeguas (Somerville, TX) softball squad overwhelmed the host Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX), by a count of 12-3.

Next, the Yeguas meet the Burton Panthers (Burton, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 26 test, on Tuesday, March 4. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 4-1 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Buffalo (Buffalo, TX).

The Shorthorns (1-9) will now prepare for their test against Luling (Luling, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Luling was routed by Smithville (Smithville, TX), 10-0, in a non-league test.
