The Apex Cougars baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Northwood Chargers to 1 in the Cougars non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Panther Creek (Cary, NC). The Catamounts go into the Southwest Wake 4A match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Panther Creek tipped Knightdale (Knightdale, NC), 13-1, in a non-league match.
The Chargers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC). The Eagles go into the Central 3A match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Eastern Alamance was overwhelmed by Northwood (Pittsboro, NC), 3-1, in a league match.
