Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Spartanburg Vikings (Spartanburg, SC), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Rams confront the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights (Greenville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 11. Hillcrest will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 1-1 non-league Woodmont (Piedmont, SC).
The Vikings now possess a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Byrnes for a AAAAA Region 2 challenge on Monday, March 14. Spartanburg will confront a Rebels team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Spartanburg (Spartanburg, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 0-3.
