California High School Softball - Bellflower bounces Rio Hondo Prep

The Bellflower Buccaneers routed the host Rio Hondo Prep Kares softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Buccaneers (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary was routed by Monrovia (Monrovia, CA), 20-3, in a non-league battle.

The Kares now sport a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Westridge for a Prep battle on Friday, March 11. Rio Hondo Prep will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 22-5 non-league loss to Alverno Heights Academy (Sierra Madre, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
