Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Coolidge Bears (Coolidge, AZ), 16-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. Payson will battle a Crusaders squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Blue Ridge (Lakeside, AZ). The Crusaders record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Coolidge falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 14. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Valley Christian won 5-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Fountain Hills (Fountain Hills, AZ)
