Notus Pirates (Notus, ID) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Marsing Huskies (Marsing, ID), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Wilder for a 1A Western Idaho challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Marsing falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Horseshoe Bend (Horseshoe Bend, ID) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 11. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
