The Torrey Pines Falcons softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Ramona Bulldogs to 1 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Torrey Pines moves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Falcons travel to Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista, CA) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league game on Saturday, March 12. The Crusaders come into the game with a record of 5-2. Mater Dei Catholic won 13-7 in their recent non-league game against Grossmont (El Cajon, CA)
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Eastlake Titans (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 14. Ramona will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Titans come into the game with a 3-3 record after their 9-1 non-league loss to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA).

RAMONA SCORED A FIRST INNING RUN ON AN ERROR, A WILD PITCH, A PASSED BALL AND A SACRIFICE FLY. McGINTY WALKED 2 AND STUCK OUT 3 IN HER 5 INNINGS IN THE CIRCLE. THE FALCONS POUNDED OUT 12 HITS IN 4 AT BATS INCLUDING A 3 RUN HOME RUN BY SENIOR SIMONE BERTUCCI. FRESHMEN KELLY WHELIHAN WENT 3-3 WITH 2 DOUBLES, A SINGLE, A STOLEN BASE, AND 2 RBI'S AS THE FALCONS IMPROVED TO 7-3-1 ON THE SEASON. SOPHOMORE GEORGIA BILSKI WENT 2-2 WITH A SACRIFICE FLY, AN RBI AND 2 RUNS SCORED FOR THE WINNERS. SOPHOMORE AVA FAGIN WENT 1-2 WITH A LONG DOUBLE AND A RUN SCORED FOR TORREY PINES WHO WILL TRAVEL TO MATER DEI CATHOLIC SATURDAY AT 10:30 AM FOR A FALCON FIESTA TOURNAMENT GAME NEXT.
