The Franklin Cougars crushed the visiting Bel Air Highlanders baseball team by a count of 9-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they host Irvin for a non-league bout on Friday, March 10. Franklin will face a Rockets team coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Andress (El Paso, TX). The Rockets record now stands at 0-9.
Next, the Highlanders face the Del Valle Conquistadores (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, March 14. Bel Air will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Conquistadores enter the bout with a 10-4 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM).
