The Martinsville Pirates baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Centerville Bulldogs to 4 in the Pirates non-league victory on Friday.
The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX). The Dragons go into the 2A Region III District 23 match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Shelbyville gained a win over Chireno (Chireno, TX), 12-0, in a non-league match.
