Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Poth Pirates (Poth, TX), 9-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Santa Gertrudis Academy (Kingsville, TX) to battle the Lions in a non-league test on Saturday, March 11. The Lions come into the test with a record of 3-7.

With the defeat, Poth falls to 9-3 on the season. The Pirates travel to Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX) to battle the Angels in a non-league test on Saturday, March 11. The Angels come into the test with a record of 2-4. Incarnate Word Academy won 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Edna (Edna, TX)
