In Friday's non-league contest, the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions (Glendale, AZ) volleyball squad nudged the visiting Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Mountain Lions face the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 10. Mountain Ridge will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Thunder go into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ).

With the loss, Agua Fria moves to 6-4 on the year. The Owls travel to Peoria (Peoria, AZ) to face the Panthers in a non-league contest on Friday, March 10. The Panthers go into the contest with a record of 6-4. Peoria won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against American Leadership Academy - Ironwood (Ironwood, AZ)
