Montana High School Basketball - Malta can't hold off Sweet Grass County

The Sweet Grass County Sheepherders basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Malta Mustangs to 43 in the Sheepherders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Sheepherders now sport a 23-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bigfork for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 11. Sweet Grass County will battle a Vikings & Valkyries team coming off a 56-47 non-league win over Huntley Project (Worden, MT). The Vikings & Valkyries record now stands at 24-0.

The Mustangs (23-2) will now prepare for their contest against Huntley Project (Worden, MT). The Red Devils enter the non-league contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Huntley Project was nudged by Bigfork (Bigfork, MT), 56-47, in a non-league contest.
