Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Social Circle Redskins (Social Circle, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Purple Hurricanes confront the Hebron Christian Academy Lions (Dacula, GA) in a 3A Area 8 challenge, on Tuesday, March 14. Monroe Area will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA).

The Redskins now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jasper County for a 1A D-I Area 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 14. Social Circle will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Oglethorpe County (Lexington, GA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 3-6.
