The Belen Eagles softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Gadsden Panthers to 4 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Belen moves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Friday, March 10. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 5-2. Mayfield lost 13-3 in their recent non-league game against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM)
