Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), 9-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Panthers now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Angelo Central for a 6A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 28.
With the loss, Big Spring falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Steers host Snyder (Snyder, TX) to face the Tigers in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 10-6.
