New Mexico High School Softball - Carlsbad can't hold off Mayfield

The Mayfield Trojans softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen to 3 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Mayfield improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league game on Saturday, March 11. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 6-0. Centennial won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Artesia (Artesia, NM)
In their next game, the Cavemen clash with the Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 11. Carlsbad will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM).
