Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mohave Thunderbirds (Bullhead City, AZ), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cypress for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 11. Rio Rancho will face a Centurions squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Millennium (Goodyear, AZ). The Centurions record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Mohave falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds host Peoria (Peoria, AZ) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Peoria won 10-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Prescott (Prescott, AZ)
