The Athenian Owls (Danville, CA) baseball trounced the visiting Mare Island Tech Academy Griffins (Vallejo, CA), 15-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Owls now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Redwood Christian for a Bay Counties - East challenge on Tuesday, March 11. Athenian will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 20-8 non-league win over St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-0.
With the defeat, Mare Island Tech Academy drops to 2-4 on the year. The Griffins host Elite (Vallejo, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 19. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 0-4.
