The Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Franklinton Red Rams (Franklinton, NC), 8-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Wolverines now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Athens Drive for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 13. Wakefield will clash with a Jaguars team coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Garner (Garner, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-1.
With the defeat, Franklinton drops to 3-3 on the year. The Red rams travel to J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 12. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 0-3. J.F. Webb lost 13-0 in their recent league test against South Granville (Creedmoor, NC)
