The St. George's Gryphons baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Huntsville Panthers to 6 in the Gryphons non-league win on Monday.
The Gryphons now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Whitesburg Christian Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. St. George's will play a Warriors team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Austin (Decatur, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 5-6.
With the defeat, Huntsville drops to 6-10 on the year. The Panthers travel to Anderson County (Clinton, TN) to play the Mavericks in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. The Mavericks go into the test with a record of 1-0. Anderson County won 4-2 in their recent non-league test against South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN)
