The Chaparral Pumas baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks to 1 in the Pumas non-league win on Monday.
The Pumas now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Torrey Pines for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. Chaparral will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-0.
With the defeat, La Costa Canyon drops to 1-1 on the year. The Mavericks host Westview (San Diego, CA) to clash with the Wolverines in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 11. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 0-2. Westview lost 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Great Oak (Temecula, CA)
