The Gilmer Bobcats soccer squad scored 1 points and held the host Pickens Dragons to 0 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Monday.
The Bobcats now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Calhoun for a 3A Area 7 bout on Friday, March 14. Gilmer will play a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Adairsville (Adairsville, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Pickens moves to 2-3 on the year. The Dragons travel to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA) to play the Tigers in a 3A Area 6 bout on Thursday, March 13. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Dawson County lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Chestatee (Gainesville, GA)
