The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks crushed the host Bridge City Cardinals baseball team by a tally of 7-0 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Hawks now hold a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Argyle for a non-league bout on Friday, March 11. Hardin-Jefferson will face a Eagles team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Jasper (Jasper, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-1.
Next, the Cardinals face the Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX) in a 4A Region III District 22 bout, on Tuesday, March 15. Bridge City will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 6-0 record after their 18-1 non-league win over Shepherd (Shepherd, TX).
