In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Gadsden Panthers baseball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the Miyamura Patriots.
The Panthers (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Trojans go into the 5A District 3 game with a 4-3 record. In their last game, Mayfield was overwhelmed by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 7-2, in a non-league game.
The Patriots (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Los Lunas was overwhelmed by Hobbs (Hobbs, NM), 15-7, in a non-league game.
