The Pinecrest Patriots baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Myers Park Mustangs to 0 in the Patriots non-league victory on Friday.
The Patriots (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders go into the Sandhills 3A/4A match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Richmond was overwhelmed by Southern Lee (Sanford, NC), 14-1, in a league match.
The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Porter Ridge edged Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 13-0, in a non-league match.
