In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the West Iredell Warriors.
The Red Devils (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, North Gaston was nudged by West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC), 5-2, in a non-league battle.
The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Mooresville nipped Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
