In Friday's league battle, the host Providence Christian Eagles soccer squad scored a close 6-2 triumph over the New Brockton Gamecocks.
The Eagles (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Northside Methodist Academy (Dothan, AL). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 3-4 record.
The Gamecocks (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Trinity Presbyterian (Montgomery, AL). The Wildcats come into the 1A-3A Region 2 battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Trinity Presbyterian nudged Opelika (Opelika, AL), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
