The Comer Tigers (Sylacauga, AL) softball routed the host Winterboro Bulldogs (Alpine, AL), 13-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Tigers (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against Childersburg (Childersburg, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, Childersburg was routed by Kate Duncan Smith DAR (Grant, AL), 5-4, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Talladega County Central for a 1A Area 8 bout on Tuesday, March 29. Winterboro will confront a Fighting Tigers squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Fayetteville (Sylacauga, AL). The Fighting Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
