Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Greene County Wildcats (Leakesville, MS), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Purvis upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS) to battle the Bobcats in a 4A Region 7 test on Tuesday, March 14. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 10-2. Sumrall won 18-4 in their recent non-league test against Pine (Franklinton, LA)

With the defeat, Greene County falls to 5-7 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS) to battle the Raiders in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 14. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 6-5. Jackson Academy won 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS)
